2004 Womens Mini Marathon

2004 Womens Mini Marathon takes place on Bank Holiday Monday 7th June 2004. Six brave ladies are taking part in this 10k (6.2miles) run through South Dublin to support the Irish Horse Welfare Trust.

The ladies are Lesley Magill with her daughter Lisa from Carrickmines, Lisa de Burca with her sister Seodhna from Sandyford, Frances Dowling from Mount Mellick, Co. Laois and Jana Langford from Shankill.

Big Big Thank You

Big thank you to everybody who took a challenge to either run or just walk the race for fun. For those who would like to take part in the race but did not send the entry application form before the extended deadline on 18th May, do not worry. You can still do it next year or organise your own fundraising event in the aid for IHWT.

Info for participants

For those taking part in the race, here are some useful information about the race day. By this time you should have received an acceptance letter entitles you and a friend to free admission to the Womans World Show (value €20) in the RDS on Fri, Sat and Sun of June Bank Holiday weekend. Take the acceptance number with you while collecting your race number. Race numbers can be collected at the following venues & times;

- Enniscorthy, Monday 24th May, 12 noon to 7pm, Waterfront Leisure Centre
- Kilkenny, Tuesday 25th May, 12 noon to 7pm, Springhill Court Hotel
- Tullamore, Wednesday 26th May, 12 noon to 7pm, Tullamore Court Hotel
- Limerick, Thursday 27th May, 12 noon to 7pm, Kilmurry Lodge Hotel, Castletroy
- Galway, Monday 31st May, 12 noon to 7pm, Menlo Park Hotel, Headford Road
- Longford, Tuesday 1st June, 12 noon to 7pm, Longford Arms Hotel, Main Street
- Dundalk, Wednesday 2nd June, 12 noon to 7pm, Fairways Hotel
- Dublin Friday 4th June, 12 Noon to 9pm, Womans World Show, RDS, Simmonscourt Rd
- Dublin Saturday 5th June, 10am to 6pm, Womans World Show, RDS, Simmonscourt Rd
- Dublin Sunday 6th June, 11am to 6pm, Womans World Show, RDS, Simmonscourt Rd

All information regarding the race, map of course, location of toilets, baggage area, water stations, assembly areas, and meeting points will be in the Programme given to each participant when collecting the race number

Info for the race day

We really hope everybody will have a great time on June 7th. You are encouraged to come early along St Stephen’s Green to enjoy the music and atmosphere. Time of arrival is 1pm to the assembly area (St Stephen’s Green East) to locate your baggage and relax before the run. Also group photo of all our participants will be taken at that time. Jana Langford is contacting all participants individually to make arrangements. The race number should be worn in front of our T-shirt. At the end of the race, each participant receives the medal.
